Ready to start sewing? These are my recommendations for supplies and tools to get you started on your sewing journey. Having these tools will make it so much easier to complete projects with ease and start creating clothing, bags, projects and more!
SEWING MACHINES - BEGINNER FRIENDLY
These machines are great if you are making basic projects, or clothing! If you want to make more advanced projects I am happy to guide you in a different direction, but for your basic sewing needs, these will work great!

- PINS -
Let's start with pins, these are SUCH an important part of sewing! Having the right pins to keep your project lined up will ensure you have the best seams possible.
- ROTARY CUTTING TOOL -
This one speeds your cutting time up tremendously! This tool is probably my favorite sewing tool.
- CUTTING MAT -
This is an essintal item! You will need one of these if you buy a rotary cutter like the one above.
- SEWING SCISSORS -
There are many options for these! This is totally up to you, on what one you choose. However, having a pair specifically made for fabric is key! Once you get your scissors, you will want to ONLY use these for fabric, they will get dull otherwise.

- THREAD SNIPS -
-Seam Ripper-
This is a must have, mistakes will be made sewing, happens to all of us! And this will be able to fix it.
-Zipper Jig-
If you plan on using a zipper in any of your projects this is my go to tool! You don't need to complete your project, but it will save SO much time and frustration! I have a reel on using it on instagram, and a youtube video as well!
-Fabric Book-
This is a great reference for learning fabric! This book has taught me so much, it's a great resource if you want to learn how to sew clothing.
- Seam Guide Ruler -
This is a great tool if you are using a pattern or are having trouble figuring out seam allowances.
- Fabric Markers - Water Soluble -
- Hera Marker and Turner (quilting)-
- This tool will mark your quilting grid and give you those nice square corners!
- - Thread snips -
- These are something I use every day, they are great to get those little left over threads when your sewing is complete, it helps give it the finished look.
-Turning tool -
This is a must have tool if you are making something long and skinny, like a strap or things of that nature!
This are great for making marks on your fabric, just make sure you use a spray bottle with water and spray before you iron. I have tried many brands and have had the best luck with these. Always make sure you practice on a scrap piece of fabric.
